This last weekend was a first get away with the baby. We had fun and we survived! I would have to say we packed a lot more things now that Molly is here. Still can't get over how much stuff one tiny person needs! But once the packing and unpacking were done we settled in and enjoyed the weekend at our friend's cabin.
The Mamas spent the weekend enjoying their friends, coffee and good food. Molly spent the weekend meeting some new furry friends. She is not sure about those furry faces that like to lick her. But it gives her mamas a laugh and we make sure that they only lick her once (or twice).

We did make sure that Molly had time for activities she does like. She recently started to reach for objects. It been fun watching her discover what she can do with her hands.

It was fun to get away but we did notice that it took Molly awhile to get settled into a new routine and place. Not to mention she slept most of today, the trip really did wipe her out. It is interesting learning to balance our wants & needs with the baby's. Overall, I'm glad we went and I think Molly would agree but we were both glad to stay home and relax today! A big thanks to Mama who didn't get to stay home and relax. She had to work. We miss her and wish it could be the weekend everyday!
