8 Month Old

Little Goose, Your are 8 month old today!  You are starting to look and act so old.  It hard to remember the time when you were my tiny baby and seemed so small in my arms.  These days I can't believe how big you look when I nurse you.

You had a great month and have really started to get yourself into the funniest positions.  You have started to crawl over things, you especially love to crawl over your mamas.  Other funny places I've found you is, in between chairs, crawling over the containers we keep your toys in, in the bottom of your exersauser and you love playing with your puppy's things.  I've found you ringing D's potty bell, opening and close D's crate, trying to play in D's water & food bowl, and crawling into D's bed.  We are all very lucky that we have a patient and loving Deiab Dog.  He even plays with you and let you put toys into his mouth.  (Which makes this Marmee nervous and I try to stop you but you are SO quick!)  The cutest game is when your both pull on his tug toy.  It's baby and puppy tug-a-war.

You have continued to teeth and one more tooth is starting to pop through.  We've noticed that your smile is a bit lopsided.  We tease you that you just don't know what to do with all those teeth in your mouth.  We're glad that your teething might be slowing down.  They don't seem to have been bother you as much the last few weeks, YEAH!!

Sleep has continued to be a struggle for you.  We had a few weeks were you got up every 2 to 3 hours.  Yikes, you slept better as a newborn.  This required the mamas to start project "falling asleep alone."  We've been letting you fall asleep in your room with out a mama.  You have not been a fan of this new arrangement BUT you are no longer waking up crying in the middle of the night and are starting to wake up happy!  So we will continue working on "falling asleep alone" as everyone is starting to feel better with the extra sleep.  

This month we started a baby music and sign language class.  You really enjoyed the class until your sleep schedule changed and now the class is right in the middle of your morning nap.  It a little disappointing, we still go but you are zoned out the whole time.  The teacher is really sweet and keeps saying your just taking it all in and will get more involved as your started to feel more comfortable.  But we both know your TIRED.  I've enjoyed learning the different signs and we use them at home.  I've even thought you've signed milk once or twice but nothing consistent, so maybe not.  :)
