6 Months Old

Dear Little Mollykins,

It has been a busy, busy month for you little one. You finally have 2 bottom teeth. All that teething finally paid off! I am so glad that your teeth broke through. Of course, now your top gums are all swollen and it looks like you soon have 2 more teeth in that baby mouth of yours.

You have put your baby teething to good use and love eating food. Your are very independent when it comes to meal times. We tried to feed you baby food put you are not interested. (I tasted your baby food and while it wasn't bad I don't blame you for the lack of interests.) Instead, we've been letting you trying feeding yourself and you love it. It is a messy process, I can't believe where I find food after you are done eating. But your happy smile at the dinner table makes it worth it!

The other big news is that you are moving. You aren't crawling but you manage to get around! You have prefect the roll and you roll, and roll and roll to get yourself from point A to point B. My favorite is when you come and find me. . . it is so cute.

It also means we've had to start baby proofing the house. We rearranged the living room to give you a bigger space to play. We also switched you into the smaller bedroom. You use to share your bedroom with Marmee's crafting "stuff" and Bo's litter box. Now that you need more space to play, we decided to gave you a room that we could completely baby proof. We also had to lower your crib because you were trying to pull up on the crib side. Busy, busy, busy little girl is the best way to describe your fifth month!

P.S. We went to the pediatrician's on the 27th and you currently weighing in at 15 lbs (50%) and 26 inches (75%). Your weight is slowly but surely catching up with your height. Your are a growing girl!
