We spent two weekend in July camping. It was a great way to escape the heat. Plus we love to be outside with our puppers.
Our first camping trip had us heading down south to a tiny town where Char had interviewed for a job. We wanted to hang out an check out our possible new home. It was beautiful and the camping and hiking was perfect but it is a very small town. We decided it would be doable. . . different but doable! The best part of the trips was little man discovering butterflies and chasing them along the Umpqua River.
The next camping trip was north of us on the river. Our friend invited us to go camping the weekend after our last camping trip and we said YES. It was a blast but camping two weekend in a row made for a dirty house and two very tired girls and puppy (yeah for the tired puppy bit!).
Looks like you had a great time camping! My girls and I read a book about ballerinas and then danced around the house like ballerinas - couldn't help thinking of you (Katie) and our ballet class at Snow (and the horror of seeing the instructor headed our way and knowing I was doing something wrong, but with no idea what!).
