Let the TERROR begin

Well, we have our little guy home with us as of Wednesday afternoon. I had to go up to Seattle by myself because Katie had to work. Our little man cried for a good half hour before struggling between sleeping and waking up. He never did fully fall asleep until I got him home and inside his crate. Foster mom Janell was nice enough to include his blanket, toys, and a bully stick (those things are NASTY btw, and it totally stunk up the car driving down! GROSS).
At any rate, Thursday we got some time to bond with him. Took him to the park, introduced him to his new toys, played ALOT. By the evening though, both his new mom's were feeling a bit overwhelmed and exhausted. He's a handful, no doubt about that. And we knew a puppy would be, but we didn't really anticipate him gravitating toward one more than the other. Little Deiab is tending to gravitate toward me a bit more than Katie right now, which makes everything that much more challenging. Makes walking challenging, makes potty times challenging, makes play time challenging....etc. etc. But we're hoping
that part of it is just the newness of everything. He's super fearful of anything new right now, so we're just working on exposing him to as many things as we can in hopes he'll come out of this adjustment phase okay. But the whole process is still very ROUGH needless to say!!!
