Thanksgiving

This year Katie and I spent Thanksgiving with my sister Tracy and her family. Steph made all the yummy standards: turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls and pies. And their friends Masha and Darcy made delish cranberry sauce and brought cookies and pies. We brought along an amazing sweet potato casserole that Katie made, a pecan pie and a green bean salad. It was all fabulous food and I got my annual turkey binge!! We had a totally low key day of playing with my nieces, eating and watching TV. Sadly, we didn't think to bring the camera so no pictures to post, just memories.

We also decided that we'd partake in the Black Friday craziness....mainly cuz its just kind of fun! But the biggest reason being that we both really needed socks and had to take advantage of the Fred Meyer sock sale....all socks 50% off. Woo hoo. We woke up at 4:30AM !!!!!!! to try to be there shortly after 5am when it opened.
Katie had to be at work by 7am and our game plan was to hit Freddies and Target. The parking lot at both was insane but somehow we usually got pretty lucky to grab a spot right
away. We came out of Freddies with tons of socks and even some games for the kiddos (see, its not all about us). But we just gave up at Target. The lines were beyond insane and Katie had to get to work, so we ended our morning with yummy Kettleman's egg bagel breakfast sandwiches. Does it get any better? :)
