Once there was a toddler who was teething.
Working on 4 molars, all at one time.
As you can imagine, this was making life interesting.
After a morning of crying, Marmee and the tot were at odds.
In desperation, it was decided to let the little one try coloring.
In hopes that something new would distract from the pain.
It worked, it worked!! Marmee was quite proud.
Her little one was coloring and not eating the crayons.
All was calm, and content in the little house.
For about two minutes.
Then the little one discovered how good crayons taste, yum!
Marmee (being unreasonable) demanded,"Crayons are not for eating!"
The little one smiled and took the crayons out of her mouth.
But it was just to tempting and back in they went.
So, Marmee put the crayons back in the box.
And the little one went back to teething.
Sigh, it was a long, long, morning.
Thank goodness it Friday (and nap time)!
