5 Month Old

We had another wonderful month with you, little miss Molly. It was a busy month. We celebrated Christmas, had your last day at daycare, spent a SNOW weekend at our friend cabin, and went to Texas to visit grandma B. Wow, we really did a lot this last month.

Your first Christmas was a blast. You even gave your mamas a Christmas present, a very wobbly (but oh so cute) sit in front of the Christmas tree. It made both of your mamas smile big. You were the same size as your stocking. And I would have to say enjoyed the Christmas lights better then your presents from your mamas. Silly baby. We had your Mama's family over for dinner Christmas day and went and visited Marmee's family the day after. You were on loved baby and got more presents from all your family.

After Christmas you spent one more week going to work with Marmee. You loved going to school and hanging out with all the other babies but your mamas were just to tried trying to juggle it all. We decided that Marmee would quit her job stay home with you. It was a big transition but we were all ready to give it a try.

You did a bit of traveling this last month. We spent on weekend at our friend cabin up in the mountains and the snow. This was your second trip to the cabin and you seemed to enjoy watching the puppies. Last time we went you didn't like the dogs, now they are your favorite form of entertainment. You also went on your first snow walk but I'm not sure how much you enjoyed it as you slept through most of it!

Our other trip was to Texas were you meet your mama's mama. . .aka Grandma B. It was love at first sight for both of you. I surprised Grandma B let us take you back to Oregon. It was a great trip and while we were there you had your first bite of food!! We had planned on waiting until you were 6 months to try food but you had other ideas!!! You would grab and try to eat our food. So we let your try a few bites of our food. You loved it. Your favorite was trying to drink our water. Only problem is now I have to hide from you when I eat. If you see me eat you start yelling at me!

We are still waiting for your teeth. You have been teething for so long and it seems to bother you some days. You got an amber teething necklace for Christmas and it seems to be helping. You don't drool as much when you are wearing it. Maybe next month you'll have a tooth in your mouth.

We love you little one and can't wait for another month of Molly!
